It's been 3 years since I was part of this challenge...
Flickr October Challenge - originally started by Mr F, and is still going strong. A chance to take some time out every day to take one photo, and upload it to Flickr. I'm ready for it... and here are my two photos so far...
I will be adding them daily to my 2013 set in Flickr, which you can see here.
A little project I have been working on for a blogger 'whisper chain'.
This little bunny took a lot longer to finish that normal due to my ups and downs of life in the last few weeks, but she has proved a welcome distraction.
A wide variety of bloggers are involved, and I do love being made to feel part of the blogging community. It's not since you are out of it for a while, that you really begin to realise what an integral part of your life it has become.
So as part of the chain I created a little bunny under the theme 'Don't Call Me Cute'. Well, it's not in my nature to create something that I don't think is cute, so this is a rather tongue-in-cheek response to the theme - because, as bunnies go, I think this one is really quite cute!
This blogger whisper chain has been inspired by DHL - parcel.dhl.co.uk, and as an extra treat they gave us all some Hobbycraft vouchers for taking part - which I am really looking forward to spending!! I have a bundle of scrapbooking projects that I need to get down to - even if it is bit by bit at the moment, so I am looking forward to buying some more papers and washi tape, and other pretty things to help me along :).
I shall be sad to part with her, but happy that she has given me something to concentrate on whilst the rest of my world is spinning.
I've missed it - more than I thought. But I have had bigger things to be doing the last month, as my dad took a very bad turn for the worst about a month ago. He came out of hospital at the beginning of this week, but we are realising quickly that he can no longer live on his own so we are preparing to have him at our house. I will be much happier not worrying about how he is doing hour to hour, and can have him where I can look after him. As such, work has taking a back seat as it has to at times like these. It has been quite the rollercoaster for us all, and we are now looking forward to getting my dad settled in with us and getting our lives a little less frantic and my mind a little less scattered.
So I will be here when I can. Like I say, I have missed it more than I thought, and as I reflect of the past six months it has taken a toll on my ability to be here as much as I was. But with my dad at my home hopefully things will calm down a little, and I can take some time to enjoy a little bear making here and there once again.
Please continue to pop by, I will be here when I can xx
