Holiday Thriftiness - Part 1

Dsc_5556

I have a passion for these little beaded lace doilies, they are so pretty.  This one is relative newish, but thrifted all the same for 50p and this one...

again relatively new, in comparison to the one I have saved for tomorrow's post.  I can't give you all the thrifted goodness all at once!  I have them in several different sizes and love to have them on display.  So I was very happy when I came upon these two in a Surrey charity shop to add to my collection.

And then my brother (god love him) had thrifted these for me in time for our visit...

I just love the blossom pattern and the shape of these beautiful plates.  Thank you again, my darling brother, for knowing exactly what will make me smile!

I'm off to photograph (position and then re-position) the rest of my treasures for tomorrows post.  How I love to waste time staring at beautiful thrift!

Have a good day x

Hiya I love the plates!wish there was a bit more thrifting to do here in Cork, perhaps I will be more on the lookout for second-hand shops.
I miss them from Cape Town days

think I enquired previously to no avail, but worth asking again I guess...would your brother like to adopt me as another sister? lovely stuff

having a super teeny tiny giveaway on my blog (have made it to 50 posts - can't quite believe it) so tiny almost not worth mentioning...but if you fancy something super tiny and teeny (but quite smelly...) pop on by...

I love those beaded doilies, but I can never find one when I'm thrifting. I think you come here and thrift them all before I can. :O
Gorgeous, and I love the plates! So pretty.

I like your blue cupboard. I've got a thing lately for painted furniture.

Michele, take my advice and don't go there, its a slippery slope! x

Wow, what a fab brother. Those plates are so gorgeous.

What fantastic sideplates. My granny would always have one of those covers over her milk jug. x

What is the maker and name of those special plates? Too cute!
