Not a Plastic Bag - GIVEAWAY !!
I've been thoroughly enjoying making these bags, which I initially started due to the fantastic crackdown the shops are making on giving out plastic carrier bags.
I am fully supportive of the idea, as I'm sure we all are, but I keep flippin forgetting to take a cloth bag with me. So, I thought I'd run a few pretty ones up to hang on the wall by the front door to remind me as I'm dashing out.
On the bag shown above, I used the very last scrap of a beloved flowery Cath Kidston material I had. This one went as a gift to my friend Sharon, whom I had a wonderful time visiting over the weekend.
And this one...
also used up the last scrap of my Cath Kidston 'Flowers' material.
However, it will be this bag....
that I shall be giving away to celebrate (albeit late) my one year of blogging.
So, if you would like to win my little bag all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. I shall close the giveaway at midnight on Friday so you have until then to leave a comment. Everyone welcome, bloggers and lurkerrs alike! I will randomly pick a winner over the weekend via names in a hat, and I will then announce the result in Monday's post.
PS. I would like to apologise to anyone who has sent me an email during the past couple of weeks that I haven't replied to. I've been a little snowed under with a project, so please don't think I'm being rude - I just can't seem to fit it all in! I will try to answer you by the end of the week. Please bear with me. x

Wow! I can't believe I'm the first to comment. Love the bags and I'm de-lurking to say I enjoy reading your blog. Happy one year anniversary.

How quickly a year has gone by!
Love the not plastic bags, I find the trick is certainly to keep one in your handbag, otherwise I arrive at the till and remeber my bags are in the car!

They are great bags. Great idea to keep them on the pretty hooks by the door. I also tend to arrive at the supermarket having forgotten bags - I must buy one to keep in my supermarket.
Happy (late) one year blogging birthday by the way.

And when I say supermarket - I of course mean handbag - the lurgy has taken over my mind!

oH! How extremely wonderful and pretty your bags are! I've only just discovered you from your comment on Posy's blog, and love love what I am seeing, yummy!!!
I live in a town which has a whole charter written up to ban plastic bags which I think is fantabulous, but like you I often forget to take cloth bags with me.
Would love to be entered into your draw, oh yes please!
Right, off to explore some more of your delicious blog now

Happy blogerversary, lovely bags, I forget the bags at the supermarket too, well I do keep a couple in my handbag all the time but that's not enough when you're doing the weekly shop and then I am a plastic bag sinner. I hang my head in shame. x

So, anyone who doesn't keep a blog but enjoys admiring your writings and products is a 'lurker'? I take great offence at this label!
This 'lurker' has recently purchased a Rose Darling and she has convinced me that I need not be offended - she assured me that you would indeed reward me with the stunning grocery bag as an apology.

Congratulations on a year of sharing your creativity, your lovely life, dear children, and amazing charity shop finds with us all -- brava!
The carry bag is a splendid idea for a hostess gift -- fill with some goodies to hand over when you arrive, or roll up and mail as a post-visit thank you.
See, here you are saving the earth now. Keep up the good work!
