Not a Plastic Bag - GIVEAWAY !!
I've been thoroughly enjoying making these bags, which I initially started due to the fantastic crackdown the shops are making on giving out plastic carrier bags.
I am fully supportive of the idea, as I'm sure we all are, but I keep flippin forgetting to take a cloth bag with me. So, I thought I'd run a few pretty ones up to hang on the wall by the front door to remind me as I'm dashing out.
On the bag shown above, I used the very last scrap of a beloved flowery Cath Kidston material I had. This one went as a gift to my friend Sharon, whom I had a wonderful time visiting over the weekend.
And this one...
also used up the last scrap of my Cath Kidston 'Flowers' material.
However, it will be this bag....
that I shall be giving away to celebrate (albeit late) my one year of blogging.

Gorgeous bags. I have several cloth bags hanging up on the kitchen door but often forget them! You have a lovely blog. Love the little sewing table with the new lap top, you lucky thing!

Splendid little thing! I've hung an old bunny cloth bag by the door also....maybe it's not bright enough to remind me to use it!

Well...my shopping bags aren't nearly so stylish, so I would love to have a Vintage Magpie original, just to show off a bit. I so enjoy reading your blog. I'm getting so much better at remembering to bring mine to the store with me.

These bags are gorgeous! And I understand well the head-down thing necessary when embroiled with a demanding project: I've just been in that position myself, whilst making an textile entry for a competition run by the National Needlework Archive. Take care, end enjoy the creativity!

Guess I'd have to be called a "lurker" since I don't have my own blog but have been reading yours "quietly" and enjoying it. I've resisted carrying a cloth bag for shopping, but yours are so pretty, please put my name in the hat. I'd love to carry that.
