Thrifting Goodness

Dsc_4194i

Somedays thrifting can turn out soooooo good!  I had one of my 'good' days this week, and here are the results.  This beautiful padded hanger.. I love floral hangers... such a luxury.

The obligatory teacup.   This is so cute as it is smaller than normal...

so it is perfect for the little ones to learn and rejoice in the art of 'making tea' !!

A worn, but beautiful basket...

A beautifully embroidered linen pillowcase, and ..

'Violets of England' crockery... 5 pudding bowls and a larger bowl.

It was a good day.  Man, I love those days :).

Thank you for all your comments re: the quandry of the new dresser.  I think the general concencus is to paint it .. .so that's what I'll do...maybe sometime next week.  I'm going to have fun checking out the F&B paints you mentioned and the  new sites to drawl over.  Thank you everyone, you lighten my burden of being so indecisive!! xx.

This morning,I went into just about all of the charity shops in Newton Abbot. There was hardly anything left...now I know why!!

Goodness me, those are really gorgeous finds. I particularly like the violet bowls, just beautiful.

I can't believe you found so many beautiful things in one trip! You've inspired me to get some thrifting in this afternoon. I too could use some tips on the art of 'making tea'. I would love to know the proper English way to make a good pot. x

what a fab time of thrifting, loads of goodies. I just had to check out what you had decided on with to paint or not to paint. A good choice. to paint x

I love the coat hanger and basket. Thrift stores are just so much fun.

Goodness me, what a wonderful thrifty haul!

Ooooh, that pillow case! What a find!

You have got some gorgeous things there. As always I love the photos!!

you always find amazing things but'Violets of England' crockery is just beyond any words! Takes my breath away! Perfection

While everything is a great find - and pretty too - the pic that made my day is of someone's hand holding the lid on the Brown Betty. My dh always asks...why do you hold the lid??? Oh, I sigh...Because That's How It's Done. ;-)

(lose one lid in a lifetime, and you learn your lesson well...)

ooh lovely thrifty finds - i'm VERY envious of the violets crockery.

Wonderful. Couldn't be nicer.
