After going to Fibrefest last weekend, and indulging in buying some beautiful wool, I couldn't wait to start knitting again... it seems to have been a long time since I picked up some needles for anything other than rabbit cardigans(!) and with the anticipation of Autumn in the air I have started on a scarf for James. Not rocket science, but something to gently ease me back into the rhythm!
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm very fussy about the colour of my wool. I knew exactly what colours I was looking for and I struggled to find them at first. I love muted colours, rather than strong colours and these wools fit the bill perfectly.
They are an alpaca blend, 70% super fine Alpaca and 30% Bluefaced Leicester, so beautifully soft, and you can find them here. The colours I am using are Rose, Midnight, Champagne and Jade. They are all gorgeous and blend together perfectly.
I can't wait to use one of the sock yarns as I plan to knit socks all Autumn! I am back in the knitting mojo for sure and it feels good!
