He is always chasing the sunshine, especially when it's raining. He believes, you see. In magic. And, as we have read in many books, magic is found in rainbows, especially at the bottom. So it would be wise to keep an eye on him when you see a spot of rainfall.
Well even the most sensible amongst us believe in magic just a little... don't we?
This little drop of sunshine is now sitting in my little Etsy shop, gazing longingly out the window as the sun drops down behind the houses.
If you get the chance, do pop over and say hello :)
This little sweetheart will be making his entrance in my Etsy shop tomorrow ... he's not a morning person, so we are looking at 7pm tomorrow evening - Tuesday 26th June. Lots more photos to see then, so do pop over if you get the chance :) xx
I had some fun, met up with some lovely crafty friends and spent some money at the Contemporary Craft Fair in Bovey Tracey this weekend, despite the wind and rain ;)
I also spent some time research one of my indulgences... journaling - and all the beauty that comes with it. I like to use a Moleskine notebook for my jottings and sketches and so, I found out, do many others... here are some beautiful journals I found on U-Tube... I urge you to take a moment to drink them in ...
Although Dotty wakes up every morning with an air of certainty about her she is, what some might call, a ditherer. Decisions are not amongst her favourite things to make (unlike a batch of freshly baked scones) and she does take a considerable amount of time to decide about anything.
Her flouncy little flower has already been on and off several times this morning as she is none too sure whether it is suitable attire for going out in our current wet weather.
Perhaps a floral rainhat would have been more appropriate ...
This little dot of a bear is currently fussing around in my little Etsy shop, undecided as to whether she should finish the crossword she started earlier or continue to sort through the dressing up box. Decisions, decisions ...
Anything to keep busy, while she waits for a new home ...
If you get the chance, do pop over and say hello :)))
Last week was a busy half term week - with baking, walking, a visit to the zoo and a fun park, a brisk visit to the beach and, needless to say, the boys strode out on to the moors and made camp ...In The Rain :0
and had lunch on a open fire!
As far as I am aware, it can only be boys that enjoy making camp in the rain. They returned home wet, with everything that clung to them wet and everything that was being carried in a bag equally wet, smelling of smoke from an open fire, literally beaming with happiness.
I know that had I have gone, and returned home sopping wet, with everything I owned equally sopping wet - my smile would not have been so big !!!! I don't do so well in the rain ....
Finally, I got around to making another little pocket-sized rabbit! It's been a while since my last one.
And she has turned out so cute!
Unusually for a rabbit, she loves the beach. She likes to collect shells - all types, and keeps them in a glass jar. Now again she will open the lid and take a big sniff as she says she can smell the sea in the jar, and despite collecting a whole lot of unwanted sand in her ears, being beside the sea is her most favourite thing of all ;)
She is currently sitting in my little Etsy shop, arranging her shells on a tray (another favourite passtime) whilst shaking the odd grain of sand from her ears!
There are more photos of her over there, so if you get the chance, do pop over and take a peek.
Meanwhile, we shall be getting dressed in our red, white and blues and dusting down the flags for what promises to be a wonderful celebratory weekend.
