Meet Honey. The newest member of our family.
So beautiful. She is a rescue cat - my daughter volunteers at the local Animal Rescue Centre, and the two of them just clicked.
She has been with us since early December, but when she arrived she was painfully shy and hid in Lauren's room for 5 weeks. She didn't mind the dogs and cats, but she was very, very wary of people other than Lauren. But gradually, very slowly, she is coming round, and now every day she seems to be getting stronger.
She is starting to go outside, a little bit each day, and she is venturing downstairs, so everyday we are seeing a little bit more of her...
Hopefully, with a lot more love and attention, she will accept us all as her new family and stay happy, just as she deserves to be.
Have a great week everyone xx

Loved the photos of Honey. I had to do a double take as she looks similar to our cat, Milhaus. Our other cat, Ruby was very shy when she came to us but now she's the friendliest cat we've ever had. I'm sure that Honey will be perfectly at home and more adventurous soon!

She is beautiful! And so unusual for a ginger cat to be a girl. She is lucky to have found you. I love a happy ending, particularly when cats are involved!

I love your new orange tabby, Honey! They have such mellow personalities. My sister has had three orange tabbies at one time. And your chicken soup looks delicious in one of your newer posts. I like the idea of green onions instead of a white onion.
Love your blog too! You are a fabulous soft sculptor artist of bears and bunnies~
Cheers!

Honey is gorgeous! I'm sure she'll come round in time. We have coaxed many a shy puss into friendship. Cat treats always help.
