Busy with some early resting - the first half of the week we took time out to take in Dartmoor and the beach (in the freezing cold), finish reading books and doing science experiments (hence the bowl of bubbles!).
The second half of the week we headed up to London to visit family, and to go see some celebrities! We were lucky enough to have family to be able to pull some serious strings for us to get in to the BBC studios in Shepherds Bush to see Taylor Swift record her new single for Lets Dance For Comic Relief - my girls lives are now complete!
Then we had a chance meeting with Jimmy Carr in the petrol station on the journey on the way home!
I think after mixing with all the celebrities, this coming week of going back to school in Devon is going to seem really rather dull for them!!
Last week kicked off with a rather nasty bout of tonsilitis for James - although he did manage to struggle through Pancake Day with pancakes for breakfast, lunch and tea ... they soothed his throat apparently - especially when coated in chocolate sauce, golden syrup AND lemon and sugar ;)
By Wednesday Mr F and the girls were under the weather too - so there was lots of honey and hot lemon drinks...
and then instead of sharing the germs, we shared the love on Valentine's Day ..
What a week ...
This week its half term, and thankfully everyone is back on their feet and raring to go. The sun is shining and there are daffodils, crocus and snowdrops peeking out from every corner. I definitely feel a touch of spring on its way :))
So, inbetween trips to the beach and to Dartmoor, I shall be working on a new little batch of spring bears :)
So beautiful. She is a rescue cat - my daughter volunteers at the local Animal Rescue Centre, and the two of them just clicked.
She has been with us since early December, but when she arrived she was painfully shy and hid in Lauren's room for 5 weeks. She didn't mind the dogs and cats, but she was very, very wary of people other than Lauren. But gradually, very slowly, she is coming round, and now every day she seems to be getting stronger.
She is starting to go outside, a little bit each day, and she is venturing downstairs, so everyday we are seeing a little bit more of her...
Hopefully, with a lot more love and attention, she will accept us all as her new family and stay happy, just as she deserves to be.
