I wish I could have this piece of furniture (and everything on it) in my bedroom. I took this photo in Monsoon in Kingston last summer, and I'm still dreaming of it ..
I wish I had more money to buy all the beautiful things I see on Etsy...
I wish my husband wouldn't see my paypal bill :o
I wish the rain would stop.
I wish the flowers would start to open, and the sun would start to shine.
I wish it was the weekend.
I wish I could tidy the sewing room and get to the sewing machine. But I should never have started painting the larder. The rest of the house has blown up around me :(
I wish my house would clean itself this week.
I wish someone would cook my dinners this week.
I wish someone would do my washing this week.
I feel it is one of 'those' weeks that tend to occur mostly in January, do you know what I mean?
Oh dear. January really is one of those months that makes us wish for lots of things. Don't worry, Spring will soon be here. In the mean time, I will wrap up that frame for you this evening and get it in the post tomorrow. So at least some nice post to look forward to. Thanks so much for the order by the way. Love that piece of furniture too and the pretty little frames. I always forget to look in Monsoon Home. They do have some sweet things don't they.

I know the feeling re this week...anyhting I can do just yell..(feeling much better now..!)
I think it's got to be time for one of our 'rummaging' mornings...to revive spirits..

And I wish our pretty snow came with 70 degree temperatures instead of subzero ones. :-) Love your blog!!

I wish I had a team of little helpers to tidy, dust, wash, cook, re-decorate and whisk me off to a sunny climate... preferably with a gin and tonic in hand! Not much to ask really is it..!?
I hope some of your wishes come true Nicky...
Love
Michelex

Yes I know what you mean exactly, it's those 'ole January blues, never mind Spring is on it's way. And the thrifty person that I am is looking at all those Monsoon pretties and thinking how I could pick up an old chest of drawers at a boot sale or the local junk shop and give it a paint job to look just like that! Now that's something for me to wish for.

I wish I had all my chores out of the way so I could paint some small pieces of furniture, line a few cupboards with floral fabric, or best of all, sit by the fire and sew my old quilt. I hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for all your comments on this post, its made me feel much better that I am in the same company. Roll on February.
P.S. Asti, I'm not that good with the paint brush!
PPS. Nonnie, great, I can't wait to receive it, and decide where to hang it x

I agree heartily with the paypal bill one and the larder. I started to paint the pantry and it seems a tornado whipped around my house while i was doing it! Today is clean, sort and tidy. Today's wish is that it could be like the snow white cartoon and the birds and wildlife would come in and help!

Awwwww, take care Nicky, it's just one of those weeks....think how great you will feel when you have achieved all on your list....
Your rose printed fabric is GORGEOUS BTW! Can't wait to see you're finished workroom.
I love little fuzzy Matilda too!
(I'm sure if you found an old wooden chest of drawers at a car boot/flea market, you could give it the 'Monsoon' treatment with a paintbrush....knowing how creative you are and all....
Have a great day,
Niki

I just wished so much that it would stop raining. It is so dull here but at least your picture gives a sense of tranquility and beauty. Take comfort in the fact that so many people agree with you. Happy thoughts to you.

Hello from Ireland
At least its been a bit sunny here for the past 2 days..yahoo!
I love love Monsoon, I worked there for over a year, but the home goodies in the Ireland stores have faded out, and now we only have a few frames etc.
I will have to visit england to have a nose around in the monsoon home stores
Love your blog!
