You're right, where have they all gone!I remember my nan and grandad having one.I don't think my parents had one but we did have a sodastream, remember those!Love the china cup, what a lovely brother you have!

I saw the title of this post and shivers went through my back - that's how my husband wakes me up "wakey wakey" :)
and what a fun thing you got! You know I would call it a happy teasmaid :)

oh wow! lucky you! what a truly fabulous brother you've got (drifts off into a reverie imagining having a brother who could possibly conceive of a desire for vintage teasmaid and bone china cup) - does he have any space in his life for an adopted sister I wonder?

What a great Brother! I didn't know teasmaids still existed. Is it a new one? My Grandparents always had one and my Sister and I loved it when we used to stay with them and would go in their room in a morning for a cup of freshly made tea. It's funny how it seemed much more exciting than if they had gone downstairs to the kitchen to make a cup! Enjoy using it.

Like the other people who've left comments, I remember my grandparents having a teasmaid. I don't think I ever actually saw it in action but the whole idea of it fascinated me as a child. What a brilliant gift from your brother.

Okay, I am from across the pond and I have never heard of a teasmaid. It looks like a really cool thing. Where can you find one these days? If anyone knows, please email me and let me know. I think I would really love to have one.
