A Thrifty Mrs

Great finds. They look like lovely, lovely books.

Dana Jones

I used to have this book and it was so pretty. I never made time to read any of it. I don't know what happened to it, donated to charity in one of my many moves I suppose.

Mel

I love LRTC.....wonderful....must find the books....
Love the quilt and the sewing box!xx

I used to have the book years ago...I wonder what hapened to it...I wish I had read it..I have to say at the time it was the red polka dot cover and the illustrations which attracted me...I loved the last series but Dorcas is annoying me at the moment and I do miss Zila and her jugged hare...

I have that cook book. It's lovely isn't it.I'm sure you will enjoy the Lark Rise books.

Bobo Bun

I've always missed Larkrise as seems to be on at reading bedtime stories time, but Dorcas and jugged Hare sounds intriguing. The cook books look wonderful and what a great husband to spot them.

What lovely looking books - no chance of finding them down here in NZ but then, you never know...

I love this programme which is lovingly refered to as Candlewick to bed spread in our family (so witty). There is a Flora Thompson display at Buckingam Gaol (which is no longer used as a Gaol) as she grew up in a village near Buckingam. They have all sorts of goodies to covert.

I'm so jealous that you have the "Lark Rise. . . " series there. We're not so lucky here in the States -- maybe in a year or so, it will work its way over here? I did find the cookbook on Amazon though -- can't wait to get it.

Tracey

I got the Lark Rise Trilogy from my library, no luck with the cook book though! I am enjoying it...thanks for sharing.

Melanie

oh, I have this book, I made the honey cake from it yesterday, I love it.

He's little dull looking, like you could get more human interaction out of wood slab or a cold stone; Both of which, by the way, have more acting talent and model potential than Mr.
