Woohoo! January is over. Much as I love the winter, I'm not the greatest fan of January, even though its the month I was born in! So, yesterday we welcomed in February with a very relaxed breakfast at around 10.30 ish and lazed around for the whole day by the fire - not one of us brave enough to venture out into the freezing temperatures.
It might snow here tomorrow night.... we all have everything crossed! Mr F has promised James that if it does they are going to go Owling - searching for owls in dark. James has been waiting for this for quite a while, ever since we borrowed Owl Moon which tells the tale of the family's tradition of going 'owling' in the snow, and James' love of foxes has been surpassed by his desperation to find owls by the moonlight his daddy. Oh be still my beating heart! He keeps quoting from the book that he has to be 'very quiet' and 'very brave'!
We might even go sledging on the moors this week... oh purlllleasse let us have some snow!!
Tomorrow my vintage valentine rabbits will be up for grabs, I do hope they find new homes quickly as they are proving rather a rowdy bunch and there's not much room left round the fire!
Have a great week xx
What a beautiful photo of the breakfast table! It's like looking at a magazine...and those flowers...mmmmmm, totally lovely!
I saw the Owl Moon over at Soulemama and thought it looked delightful. Well, there's plenty of snow this morning, Yippee! Love Sal x

Lovely to be around the fire.
I do love February, now it's maybe becasue my two kids were born but also because it's the month for the carnival and in my island that's the biggest festivity!
HUgs and keep enjoying your sweet and cozy home!
