Esther

What a lovely post. I love to hear other peoples' stories, it makes you aware of others, and not just your own.

Sweet Mary

Capturing the essence of times gone by - perfect words to describe all things vintage that we so love.

Lovely story nicky, I bet you made his day, sitting and chatting about his life!

What a wonderful post. The tractor and the lovely gentleman just seem to 'go' together don't they, both rich with experience and life.

Anne Donald

A lovely story!

What a great piece of machinery...it's so interesting listening to tales of how things were.

Tickled Paisley

Great story & I love that he called it "his girl". Thanks for sharing!

I am going to have to show this one to my husband. Being from a farming family in Somerset, he is going to go soppy over the old tractor! He has fond memories of his own 'little red Massey', even though his father sold or scrapped it years ago. Colourwise, your gentleman's tractor should be a John Dere, which is an American make, I think. However, it may have been resprayed over the years, I suspect! Great post - thanks very much.

Katie

What a wonderful story. I don't expect the chap you met ever thought he'd end up in a blog, with all of us reading all about him and his life! What a great way of capturing stories and people's memories. Katie x

What a lovely little tale. Your previous post is gorgeous too! What goodies! My eyes were 'on sticks' when I saw everything! So pleased that your stall was a great success.

Kathy

Oh my, I think this is my all time favorite post! A wonderful story and beautiful photos. I'm sure he made your day and you made his.
