Apologies for the lack in posting, I've been busy gaining another year (and a few more pounds to boot!)
Excuse the gushing... but just look at the cake(s) my children rustled up whilst Mr F whisked me away for a shopping trip to my beloved Totnes... they shopped for all the ingredients, budgeted, baked and decorated all in one afternoon.... ahhh the pride! I couldn't believe my eyes!
and there were sweet little notes poked around the sides which they had gathered from friends and family...
I had a wonderful day, and despite my 38 years I managed to squeal like child several times during the day with excitement!
I do believe it has now become well know that I am a book 'freak'... especially when it comes to books with gorgeous pictures in... and just look at my Birthday stash.... oh my, weeks of stolen moments ahead flicking through those pages! And the clock..., well that has been on my wish list to a while, and I've been waiting and waiting for find one just like her, and low and behold, my beloved Totnes market rose to the occasion on my birthday shopping trip! Isn't she beautiful... she has a lovely melodic tick-tock, but quite a matronly alarm, which amusingly causes Mr F to sit bolt up right from his slumber and mutter something under his breath about me being sadistic before he dozes back off :) !!
and my lovely hanging heart from Asti, amongst other things from my lovely friends, things to treasure.
A huge thank you to all my friends and family who made it such a special couple of days for me, and made turning 38 much less spiteful than I had imagined!
So, now firmly back in the saddle after all the celebrations are sadly behind us, I shall attempt to resume normal postings!
See you soon
xx
Happy Birthday, it sounds like a magical day. What a beautiful cake your family made for you, how loved you must feel. I too love books, they are my big weakness. I got Homemade for my birthday in Oct. and I just love looking through it. Can't wait to see what you get up to this year.
