I know its late... but you know the story with the postman already... suffice as to say, he turned up... eventually.
Which is why I can now introduce you to Winston JR (at this point he wants it made clear that the JR stands for Jack Russell - not junior - hehem).
Frankly, we've had a day of it here today... what with looking after poor Florence, waiting for the postman and then the final straw (apparently) was me not being able to finish Winston's brother William off today as well, so Winston was left with no one to play with and nothing to do but sit and look at the door.
Until the word 'ball' slipped from my lips, and then like all canines he was unable to resist
so very predictable ...
but far too cute to refuse!
Winston is the second of my whimsical hounds... and I am thinking of making a little collection of my favourite doggies. I have lots swirling about my head, like lurchers, fox terriers, and irish wolfhounds... my whimsical hound collection.... what do you think? Have you any suggestions?
Winston is made from 100% pure mohair, which has been aged by me to give him the time worn appeal. He has German glass eyes and is filled traditionally with wood excelsior, steel shot and sand to give him weight and texture.
Winston stands approximately 12 inches tall from his head to his paws, but cannot stand unaided.
Generally Winston is a good old dog. He has a kind and loving nature and loves a game at all costs. His favourite dinner consists of anything that had feathers, he is partial to the scraps from a Sunday roast and has been known to sup on dregs of stout, if given the opportunity :0
Winston is looking for a loving home, preferably without cats as he has a tendancy to chase the felines. He would however, be fine with other dogs. He has had one previous very caring owner and would love to find a new warm bed to cosy down in (preferably by the fire) as his joints aren't want they used to be :)
Winston's adoption fee is £125.00 plus travel fare. If you can offer Winston a new home please email us here, we will be waiting to hear from you (by the fire of course!)
Have a great weekend everyone xx
