Finally, I got a chance this morning to photograph the dresser... newly painted with Annie Sloan paint in Paris Grey!
I've adorned it with all my favourite things.. my roses and my first edition of Rebecca, my all time favourite book, that my lovely husband hunted down and drove me out into the countryside to collect it one valentine's day...
. Lauren bought me this 'Mother' brooch from one of the Vintage and Handmade Fairs...
One of my favourite pictures of my mum when she was a little girl...
and this beautiful heart made from a vintage quilt and filled with lavender. I bought it as a Christmas present to myself from one of the other Handmade shows!
And behind the scenes of this morning's photo shoot?
Someone who couldn't care less!!
Such a sweet and easy life!

I have my eye on the Annie Sloan paint, got so many things that need a coat of paint this summer and can't choose which colour for which piece! I adore the little patchwork heart, it's stunning.

It looks gorgeous! Especially adorned with all your beautiful treasures.I love Annie Sloan paint and use it a lot, but I have found it never covers in one coat so I end up doing a 2nd one!

Loving the dresser. I have 4 tubs of Annie Sloan paint and have a pile of chairs waiting to be painted when the weather picks up. The picture of your Mum is charming. xxx

Love everything in your room, especially the Mother pin. I just purchased an old dresser for $5.00! I want to give it a coat of paint so I will have to try this brand!

Congratulations on completing the painting of the dresser! It looks lovely.
I'm a Rebecca fan too.
Aw! Such cute doggie pics. Our dogs shed fur (hair?) immensely and we don't let them on the bed. But I love the pics of dogs on beds! Just not on my bed...right now.

First off I would like to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I've had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Many thanks!
